This post is inspired by Misha's presentation

In the front of this book by Project H they were talking about "green design 1.0"... which has a lot to do with green washing, green trends, how sustainable was like the most over used word in 2000something, how PLA corn cups actually don't work... So they propose that the new wave of "green design 2.0" has to get more creative and definitely incorporate our consumerist tendencies.

also, these people at WindowFarms are into making crazy hydroponic gardens people can have in their own homes and the idea of having window farms made with water bottles being "normal."  They provide the instructions to make the garden, but people have made their own customizations and improvements which they post instructions to on the site.  (TEDx Talk: http://www.tedxmanhattan.org/webcast-session-3) 

finally, somehow, Misha's presentation really reminded me of Edward Scissorhands for some reason....
