I've placed on reserve in the RISD Library a fantastic book about objects, design and culture:

The Language of Things, by Deyan Sudjic

I highly recommend it. There's a lot in it that's relevant to many of the Degree Project topics. Google books has an excerpt if your curious. To be equitable, I've reserved it so students in our class can take it out for one night. If everyone would prefer a different arrangement, let me know.
